Food Lover, one of Egypt’s leading food processing companies renowned for their quality, efficiency and innovation required the streamlining of their business processes by merging multiple systems into a single, common solution along with the replacement of the existing system functionality without unnecessary overheads. Their aim was to achieve continuous improvement with a fully integrated and flexible solution that would allow them to change and evolve processes and structures without technical constraints.

Project Solution Description:

Intercom Enterprises undertook this project based upon their proven experience with similar projects. The approach used to manage and execute this particular project was the ASAP Focus methodology and toolset, which was developed specifically to implement solutions based upon SAP Best Practices, including a project plan, step-by-step roadmap and project accelerators. The solution provided to Food Lover aimed at integrating and streamlining their systems was the SAP ERP software, which focuses on the following elements. SAP Financial Accounting & Controlling (SAP FO/CO) which is a financial accounting module, designed to capture organizations business transactions in a manner that will satisfy external reporting requirements and giving them the ability to drill down to the originating transaction whether it is a purchase order, sales order or material movement, providing a comprehensive picture of external accounting. SAP Material Management (SAP MM) focuses on the following sub-modules, batch management, quotation for procurement, consumable purchasing, stock handling, return to vendor, purchasing rebate, subcontracting and more. SAP Production Planning (SAP PP) provides an integrated platform for batch-orientated process manufacturing, supporting the following manufacturing industries, chemical, pharmaceutical and food and beverage. Other sub-modules of this system include SAP Sales & Distribution (SAP SD) and SAP Quality Management (SAP QM). Finally Intercom supplied HRMS (Human Resources) that focuses on the following sub-modules, Payroll Scope which allows management to maintain employees master and organizational data, perform automatic bank transfers and send pay slips to employees by email among many other pay related tasks. Also the attendance module scope, sizing of payroll and sizing of attendance in order for Food Lover Managerial staff to handle all of their HR duties with ease, efficiency and productivity.
